3 Flavored Deviled Egg Recipes to Up Your Appetizer Game

Deviled eggs are a popular dish because they’re crazy easy to throw together, delicious, and you can make 1,000 different varieties. Follow one of these recipes for a quick snack or a fancy appetizer, or get inspired to create your own!

First, you’ll want to get those eggs cooked. Follow this quick infographic for how long to cook hard boiled eggs and they’ll come out perfect every time!

Next, you’ll halve the eggs and carefully remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a food processor with the other filling ingredients in the following recipes.

Pro tip: Once blended, put the yolk mixture in a pastry bag to make filling the eggs easier. When plating, add a dollop of filling to the plate before placing the egg white so that it will stay in place.

Avocado Taco Deviled Eggs

The recipe for these little snacks was inspired by my overwhelming love for Mexican and Latin flavors and the fact that I missed Taco Tuesday this week (oops). It’s also a healthier version, because we eliminate the mayonnaise for avocado!

Filling:
6 egg yolks
1 whole, ripe avocado
1 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp cumin

Garnish:
Fresh cilantro leaves
Chopped scallion

Culinarie advantage: Use our Heckdust blend instead of the cayenne and paprika for a more complex, spicy flavor.

Everything Salmon Deviled Eggs

Lox on a bagel is a classic Jewish American breakfast, and one of my personal favorite meals. This deviled egg takes those flavors and transforms them into a tasty, carb-free, bite-sized treat. This recipe is best made with our Infinity Spice Blend, but you can substitute the seasonings below if you don’t have any o hand.

Filling:
6 eggs yolks
2 oz smoked salmon
2 tbsp cream cheese
1 tbsp horseradish mustard
1 tbsp Infinity Spice Blend
-OR-
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder

Garnish:
1 tbsp capers
12 small sprigs of dill

Buffalo Bleu Deviled Eggs

Buffalo and bleu cheese go together like… well, buffalo and bleu cheese. This unstoppable combo makes for a slightly spicy, flavor-filled deviled egg.

Filling:
6 egg yolks
2 oz bleu cheese
2 tbsp buffalo sauce
1 tbsp barbecue sauce

Garnish:
Chopped scallion
Fresh cracked black pepper

  1. I like classic deviled eggs w/a little mayo, mustard, salt and pepper. But these sound good too, maybe I’ll try one soon.
